Bio

Following my studies in General Linguistics, French studies and Nordic languages at Lund University, I am now obtaining my doctoral degree in General Linguistics with Lorenza Mondada. My research is situated within Conversation Analysis and Ethnomethodology, which, through multimodal analysis of audio- and video recordings, offer a rigorous framework for studying social action in naturally occurring interaction.

I am interested in the situated achievement of institutional interactions as a fundament for social structures and how participants to interaction orient to the situated production and distribution of knowledge as intrinsic to democratic procedures. I am also interested in interactional repair as a fundamental social practice for solving emerging troubles of speaking, hearing, understanding and accepting various aspects of social interaction and what additional actions that repair does in institutional contexts. My doctoral thesis investigates how participants in a deliberative democracy project in urbanism use interactional repair to produce and publicly establish shared knowledge.

Research Topics

Conversation analysis
Ethnomethodology
Multimodal analysis
Interactional repair
Large group interactions
Institutional interaction
The situated production of knowledge
