Bio

About

I am a doctoral candidate in General Linguistics at the Department of Linguistics and Literature at the University of Basel, under the primary supervision of Prof. Lorenza Mondada. I am also a member of the HPSL doctoral school.

I completed my Master of Arts in French Studies and Political Science, with French Linguistics as a major at the University of Basel. My master’s thesis examined the sequential organization of storytelling in sales interactions. It focused on how a salesperson assembles and sustains a tasting collective through successive offers, multimodal coordination, and storytelling. The analysis shows that stories do not merely accompany product presentation. They actively shape the emergence of an audience and their sensorial engagement, contributing to the in situ valorization of the product.

My doctoral thesis is part of the SNSF-funded InterSenses project, which examines how mutual sensory access makes social interaction possible. In this perspective, I focus on interactions in which sensory access is asymmetrical, and I investigate how participants organize, adapt and negotiate their actions under these conditions. Building on this, my thesis analyzes Escape Room Interactions, where limited sensory access, spatial constraints, and task-related pressures create a particularly rich environment for studying multimodal coordination and the management of asymmetries in perception.
